Gallery: Men’s ice hockey defeats UMass in OT, moves on to Hockey East Semifinals
The Boston University men’s hockey team beat the University of Massachusetts Minutemen at Agganis Arena on Saturday. Shane Lachance opened the scoring for BU in the first period. Sascha Boumedienne scored BU’s second goal in the second frame. The teams were tied 2-2 at the end of the third. Cole Eiserman scored the game winner 2:59 into overtime. Mikhail Yegorov stopped 36 of 38 shots for BU. The Terriers will face UConn in the Hockey East Semifinal on Thursday at TD Garden.
