Coming off a split weekend against Northeastern, the No. 10 Boston University Men’s Ice Hockey team (18-12-1, 12-8-1 HE) is set to take on the No. 9 University of Connecticut Men’s Ice Hockey team (17-20-3, 9-8-3 HE) in a weekday matchup.

Historically, BU boasts a 17-9-2 record against the Huskies, with a win in their most recent matchup in October.

Brothers Quinn and Cole Hutson continue to dominate the ice. Q. Hutson is riding a four-game point streak, notching a goal and an assist in the weekend series against Northeastern for 38 points on the season (18 G, 20 A). Q. Hutson sits at number four spot on the Hockey East overall scoring leaders.

C. Hutson is tied for second among NCAA defensemen with 23 assists and third in the nation with points at 32. C. Hutson scored the game-winning goal and tallied two assists last weekend.

“He’s really competitive, I feel when we’re struggling as a team he feels like he has to do maybe more than he actually has to do and that’s sometimes when he gets in trouble,” Head Coach Jay Pandolfo said about Cole Hutson. “But he cares, he wants to make a difference for our team.”

Mikhail Yegorov made 43 total saves over the weekend, rounding his save percentage to .930, and will likely get the nod in net against UConn.

“I thought [Yegorov] played very well,” Pandolfo said. “After giving up five [on Friday] night, the way he responded [Saturday night] was great.”

The Huskies are riding a three-game win streak, coming off an overtime win against Maine. Jake Richard scored twice, including the OT game-winner.

Joey Muldowney leads UConn with 33 total points this season (19 G, 14 A), while Hudson Schandor follows closely behind with 23 assists.

Freshman goaltender Callum Tung improved to 6-3-1 on the season, making 32 saves in the Huskies’ victory over the Black Bears to improve to a .930 save percentage.

Junior netminder Tyler Muszelik has made 18 starts this season and holds a .913 save percentage.

The Terriers will head to Storrs, CT, to face the Huskies at Toscano Family Ice Forum on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m., with streaming on TSN+ and ESPN+.
