No. 12 Boston University Women’s Ice Hockey (21-9-2, 18-5-2 HE) will face the University of Connecticut Huskies (19-11-2, 17-6-2 HE) in a home-on-home weekend series starting Friday.

The Terriers are returning to the ice after splitting last weekend with a win and shootout loss against the University of New Hampshire.

BU has a 31-19-9 all-time record against UConn, with their last match on Feb. 7 resulting in a 3-1 loss. This game was the Terriers’ first time taking on the Huskies in almost a year, and it was their only loss in five games.

“That was such a unique stretch for us with three games over the course of that week and three different opponents,” Coach Tara Watchorn said of BU’s last time facing UConn. “It was a great effort to build off of.”

The two games against UConn will be BU’s final series before the Hockey East Quarterfinals in March. The Hockey East regular season champion will be decided in the series, with BU needing one point in two games to clinch the first place spot, which they have not held since 2013.

“This will be an opportunity to prove to ourselves that we can handle stress, that we can perform when we want to win something and get playoff ready,” Watchorn said.

BU will face the Huskies in Connecticut on Friday, with puck drop scheduled for 3 p.m. and streaming available on TSN+ and ESPN+. The Terriers will return home to Walter Brown Arena on Saturday for a 4 p.m. puck drop, and streaming will be available on NESN and ESPN+.
