Boston University Men’s Basketball (12-12, 6-5 PL) extended its home dominance with a commanding 87-65 victory over the Navy Midshipmen (8-16, 5-6 PL) at Case Gym on Feb. 5.

The Terriers’ win marks their eighth straight win on home court—their longest streak since the 2010-11 championship season.

“I was just really impressed with our mindset,” BU Head Coach Joe Jones said. “These guys came out, and they attacked the game right away.”

BU was led by graduate student and guard Miles Brewster, as he delivered a near-perfect shooting night. He torched the Midshipmen with a career-high 5-for-6 from beyond the arc and finished 10-for-11 from the field for a game-best 25 points.

Brewster’s impressive performance was part of a strong night of shooting overall for the Terriers, who went 34-for-57 from the field.

Jones said the team has been refining its offensive approach since the start of the league, and their progress was evident in the dominant performance.

“Hopefully, we have moved past some of our issues that we were having on the road in the league,” BU Head Coach Joe Jones said. “We’re going to be more of the team that’s a little bit closer to what we saw tonight.”

Helped by four 3-pointers, sophomore guard Michael McNair joined Brewster in double figures, scoring 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting. Every Terrier that played recorded at least six points, with junior forward Nico Nobili totaling nine points alongside a team-high seven rebounds and two steals.

BU seized momentum early, breaking away with a 12-0 first-half run after Navy’s Mike Woods trimmed the deficit to 13-11. McNair’s three-pointer to open the second half pushed BU’s lead to double digits, but Navy clawed back within five at 46-41.

A 9-0 surge by BU, highlighted by a tough corner three from Brewster and a hook shot from junior guard Ben Roy, reestablished control at 65-49. Freshman guard Azmar Abdullah and junior forward Otto Landrum then drilled back-to-back threes to give BU its first 20-point cushion.

Even as Navy made a late push, Brewster iced the game with his fifth three-pointer in the final two minutes, ensuring the Terriers cruised to victory.

“We were loose with the ball and with some decision making at times, but we only had six turnovers, which is unbelievable,” Jones said. “Mike and Miles, in particular, were outstanding.”

The Terriers will look to advance their winning streak, as they go up against Holy Cross on Feb. 8, with tipoff set for 12 p.m. and streaming available on ESPN+.
