Boston University Women’s Ice Hockey (14-8-1, 11-4-1 HE) will take to the ice again this Friday and Saturday in a weekend series against the Holy Cross Crusaders (7-13-3, 3-11-3 HE) in a home-and-home face-off.

BU will host the Crusaders for the first time in the updated Walter Brown Arena after playing the majority of the season in their temporary home of Agganis.

The Terriers suffered two back-to-back shutout losses, the most recent a 4-0 devastating loss to the Northeastern Huskies in the Beanpot Championship game.

Despite their recent offensive struggles, BU has the third-best scoring offense in the league and sit third in the NCAA and second in Hockey East with a 0.899 penalty-kill percentage.

Graduate student Julia Shaunessy was named Hockey East Defender of the Week after recording two points in the Beanpot Semifinals round against Harvard. Shaunessy leads BU in points with 14, proving to be a dominant offensive-defensive playmaker.

The Terriers hold an 11-6 all-time record against Holy Cross, with BU breaking their longest losing streak of 3 games during their last meeting in early January of this year, which ended in a 3-0 tilt in favor of the Terriers.

The weekend series is set for a 6 p.m. puck drop at the Hart Center Rink in Worcester on Friday, Jan 24, followed by a 4 p.m. matchup the following day at Walter Brown Arena. Both games will be available to stream on ESPN+.
