No. 14 Boston University Women’s Ice Hockey (14-6-1, 11-3-1 HE) will head to Durham to take on the University of New Hampshire Wildcats (11-11-1, 7-9-0 HE) for a 1 p.m. matinee matchup at Whittemore Center.
Facing the Wildcats will be the Terriers’ last game before the long-awaited Championship Game of the 46th Dunkin’ Women’s Beanpot.
BU is coming off a thrilling 2-1 overtime win in the Beanpot Semifinals against Harvard University. Sydney Healey got her team to overtime, tying the game with 55 seconds left on the clock, allowing Lindsay Bochna to score an incredible game-winning goal in overtime.
Healey leads the team in goals scored with nine, tallying three points in her last four games played.
Callie Shanahan will likely get the nod in net for the Terriers, boasting a .925 save percentage and a 1.67 goals-against average.
BU holds a 38-20-6 all-time record against UNH but lost 2 out of 3 games played against the Wildcats in the 2023-2024 season. The last time the two teams met, the Terriers fell to the Wildcats in a 4-1 game at Walter Brown Arena.
The two teams have been switching losses and wins for the last six games, with BU winning all of the away games at Durham.
UNH Captain Kira Juodikis was recently named Hockey East Co-Player of the Week after scoring her second career hat trick in the Wildcats’ 5-3 victory over Merrimack on Jan. 10. Juodikis leads her team in points with 15 (9 G, 6 A).
Between the pipes for UNH will likely be Sedona Blair, who was named to the watch list for the title of 2025 National Women’s Goalie of the Year. Blair holds a .941 save percentage and has recorded four shutouts in 19 games played.
The Terriers will look to get on the front foot in the game, looking towards their third-best scoring offense and scoring defense in the league to best Blair and the Wildcats.
Puck drop at Whittemore Center is set for 1 p.m. Saturday in Durham, New Hampshire. The game will be available to stream on ESPN+.
