Boston University Women’s Ice Hockey (10-5-1, 8-2-1 HE) is preparing to take a trip up North this weekend to face off in a pair of games against the University of Vermont Catamounts (4-15-2, 3-9-2 HE) in the Gutterson Fieldhouse.

Riding off a 3-0 shutout against the College of the Holy Cross last Friday, the Terriers have high hopes of continuing their winning streak in the new year.

BU has held a five-game win streak against UVM stretching since 2022, with their longest streak being eight games.

The Terriers boast a 42-11-8 all-time record against the Catamounts, only losing two games in their last ten matchups.

Captain Tamara Giaquinto netted the third goal against Holy Cross this past weekend for her fifth power-play goal of the season, leading Hockey East in both league and overall standings.

After stopping all 15 shots faced last week, Terrier netminder Callie Shanahan has continued to stand as a brick wall, holding a .924 save percentage and will likely get the nod in net for this weekend series.

Vermont’s goalie Jan Gervais closely follows behind with a save percentage of .906 for the season and will likely stand between the pipes for the Catamounts.

The Terriers are set to play the Catamounts at 6 P.M. EST at the Gutterson Fieldhouse in Vermont on both Jan. 10 and Jan. 11. Both games will be available for streaming on ESPN+.
