The Terriers came out strong in the first period on Tuesday capitalizing on their first power play of the game, but Merrimack showed some initial resolve and managed to sneak a power play goal of their own in just before the end of the first period. After recouping, the Terriers came out even stronger in the second period tacking on three goals with no response from the visitors. The third period continued as the second had and BU racked up another two goals to make the score 6-1, causing Terrier fans to ensue a round of BU football chants. Just before the final buzzer, BU’s Kaileigh Quigg snuck one more in to make the final 7-1.
