BU women’s soccer team really showed up against Lehigh on Alumni night. Both halves were dominated by the home side yet for most of the first half BU just couldn’t find home with their chances and only punished Lehigh once on a 19th minute goal by Margy Porta assisted by Samantha Aronson. While Lehigh remained stuck in their own half, BU’s defense seemed unable to control the speed of Lehigh’s Cyndea Labissiere who broke down the wing late in the first half to provide an assist for Lehigh’s only goal—scored by Esther Brossard. The half-time talk must have gone supremely well though for BU as they emerged with the killer instinct they lacked in the first and by 62nd minute they had piled on four extra goals to make the score 5-1. The game finished 6-1 after a late 82nd minute goal from BU’s Kaiya Stewart.
