GALLERY: No. 7 men’s hockey clinches Hockey East regular-season crown
The No. 7 Boston University men’s hockey team defeated Providence College, 6-4, at Agganis Arena on the Terriers’ Senior Night. With this win and a bit of help around the league, the Terriers won their eleventh Hockey East regular season title, and their first since the 2016 – 2017 season.
In an exciting matchup, freshmen Lane and Quinn Hutson scored two goals each, in addition to seniors Wilmer Skoog and Matt Brown scoring once. Junior goaltender Drew Commesso made 22 saves, but graduate goaltender Patrick Schena closed out the game in his Terrier debut.
The Terriers will be matching up against the lowest-seeded team for the Hockey East Tournament opening round this upcoming Saturday.
