Photo Gallery: Men’s Hockey upsets No. 8 UMass

The Boston University Terriers (4-7-1, 3-4-1 HE) defeated the reigning national champions, the University of Massachusetts Minutemen (6-3-1, 4-1-1 HE), 4-3 in overtime at the Mullins Center on Saturday. 

The win ends a five-game winless streak for the Terriers, who had lost four in a row before tying UMasss 2-2 at Agganis Arena on Friday.

Junior defenseman Case McCarthy scored the game-winning goal in overtime, while freshman defenseman Ty Gallagher tied the game for BU in the third period. Junior forwards Jay O’Brien and Wilmer Skoog also scored.
