WTBU NEWS BEGINS SUMMER PROGRAMMING WITH NEW REPORTING STAFF

WTBU News summer programming begins Tuesday, May 12th with 17 new staff members

BOSTON, MA, May 10, 2020 – WTBU News will launch a remote programming system for the summer starting at 6 p.m. EST on Tuesday, May 12th, 2020. With 31 active staff members, including 17 new reporters, WTBU News will have an even larger team than the spring semester.

In addition to helping with 7@7 reporting, the new staff members are bringing unique content to the show. WTBU News welcomes reporters interested in business, medical, science reporting and more. We look forward to bringing new kinds of content to listeners throughout the summer.

“The year after the fire at WTBU, we only had four reporters and now we have a team of 43,” said Griffin Buch, News Director. “While in the past we’ve only been able to write brief pieces, now WTBU News is able to do more long-form investigative reporting.”

WTBU News begins at 6 p.m. EST and can be found on multiple platforms. You can listen to the show on the WTBU Soundcloud and it will be posted on the WTBU website. Additionally, the show will continue to be broadcasted on 89.3 FM/640 AM for those in the Boston area.

WTBU News will continue to hold the safety of their staff as a top priority. All contributing staff will work remotely and any reporting broadcasted will be from individual audio recordings. There will be no in-person meetings until further notice. All public communication should be directed through email or social media. Find more information about WTBU News here.
