The Boston University field hockey team split their weekend series on the road against Lafayette and Princeton. On Saturday, the Terriers knocked off Patriot League foe Lafayette 7-4 and on Sunday, they fell to fifth-ranked Princeton.

Lafayette jumped ahead early, scoring just eleven minutes into the game, however Miya Dennison, Kara Enoch, and Ally Hammel each scored in the first half to put the Terriers ahead.

BU grew their lead in the second half with two goals from sophomore Petra Hall, and one from freshman Hayley Lowell on her first career goal.

Lafayette scored three consecutive goals in the second half to cut the BU lead to 6-4. But, with four minutes left in the game, freshman Molly Rottinghaus netted her first career goal, securing a 7-4 win.

On Sunday, the No. 24 Terriers lost to the No. 5 Tigers, 3-1.

Princeton scored twice in the first half, opening up an early lead they never relinquished. BU recorded six shots against Princeton, and held the Tigers to just eight shots – one above their season low.

Sophomore Ailsa Connolly scored the Terriers only goal of the game with 26 minutes left.

Next Sunday, the Terriers will play Harvard at 2 P.M. on New Balance Field.
