Women’s Hockey: Season opener against Northeastern moved to Walter Brown Arena
By: Brian Lombardo
BOSTON- Brian Durocher’s Terriers were slated to open the 2018-19 season on the road at Northeastern University on October 5th. But that game will now be taking place at Walter Brown Arena on Boston University’s campus.
Originally, it was supposed to be a home and home series with the Huskies to kick off the new season, with the Terriers hosting the latter. Now BU will host both games of the opening weekend series.
The corresponding move will be that the Terriers will no longer have a home game on October 28th in their third matchup with the Huskies of the season. That game has been moved to Matthews Arena.
Before the regular season kicks off, the Terriers will play an exhibition game this Friday (September 28) as they host the Durham West Lighting of the Provincial Women’s Hockey League.
