BOSTON — Senior guard Cheddi Mosely and sophomore guard Destin Barnes will be out for the remainder of the season, according to a press release sent out by the Boston University Athletic Department and Head Coach Joe Jones. Both Mosely and Barnes have not appeared in the team’s past six games due to what is now known as season-ending injuries.

“I’m very disappointed for both Cheddi and Destin that they won’t be able to return,” Jones said. “Their presence will surely be missed.”

Mosely’s season-ending ailment is an injury to his knee, while Barnes’ stems from a shoulder injury. No specifics on either injury were reported in the release, however Barnes was seen on the bench wearing a sling at the Terriers game at the University of Connecticut on November 19. Neither traveled to Florida for either game last week.

Mosely appeared in 59 games over his freshman and sophomore campaigns, starting 43. He will have played in just 13 games over his final two seasons of eligibility, barring a medical redshirt. He owns career averages of 10.6 points and 2.2 rebounds-per-game.

Barnes has suited up in just 12 games in his Terrier career. He scored 10 points and added 7 rebounds off the bench in BU’s second game of the year. As a freshman, Barnes put up 5.5 points-per-game while shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc.
