Men’s Hockey: Is Clayton Keller Back in the Lineup?

By: Dan Shulman

The big question surrounding the Boston University Men’s Hockey Team this week was whether Clayton Keller would be well enough to suit up in Vermont?

Assistant captain Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson may have dropped a big hint on Terrier Hockey’s instagram. The photo, seen below, shows Keller at Friday morning skate with his teammate Jordan Greenway. The caption hinted that the freshman would be reuniting with his old line-mates.

Keller, who has been sidelined since November 5 with a lower body injury, made his long-awaited return to practice this week. He skated full-contact for the first time since the injury on Wednesday.

In just seven games, Keller has recorded nine points (5G, 4A) and is tied for the national lead in short-handed goals with two. Since his injury, the power play and offense have both struggled.
