Men’s Basketball Releases 2016-2017 Schedule
The Boston University Men’s Basketball Team recently released their schedule for the upcoming 2016-2017 season. Coming off a 19-15 record and a trip to the second round of the CIT Tournament, the Terriers begin this go around on Friday, November 11th against crosstown rival Northeastern. BU then welcomes the Huskies back a week later, part of a home and home series, that also launches the first annual Steve Wright Classic. The tournament will take place at Case Gym during Alumni Weekend (Nov.18-21) and feature BU, Northeastern, Maine, and LIU Brooklyn.
The highlight of the Terrier’s non-conference schedule is undoubtedly the three high profile games against tournament hopefuls Connecticut, NC State, and Syracuse. BU will face UConn on November 30th before traveling to Raleigh to take on the Wolfpack on December 3rd. A week later, the Terriers head to upstate New York to take on Syracuse at the Carrier Dome on December 10th.
Patriot League play begins December 30th when BU welcomes defending champion Holy Cross to Case Gym. BU will face each of the other nine Patriot League opponents twice, home and away, and the slate finishes in state as the Terriers travel to Worcester for a date with Holy Cross. Seniors will be honored on February 19th against Bucknell.
In total, the Terriers will play 30 regular season games (12 non-conference, 18 conference), with 15 of those games coming at Case Gym. All home games and several away contests will be broadcast on WTBU radio.
