By: Dan Shulman

The Boston University Terriers earned their first 3-0 record to start a season after defeating the High Point Panthers on Tuesday afternoon, 13-10.

BU junior goaltender Christian Carson-Bannister made 18 saves on the day, the most he’s had since 2014.

Offensively, the Terriers quickly took a lead, taking a 3-0 lead just over two minutes into the game. BU would continue to pull ahead, leading 6-1 after one quarter.

High Point would cut the deficit to 6-4 before BU’s offense exploded in the third quarter for five goals.

Junior Sam Talkow dominated at the face-off X, going 6-8 in the opening quarter and tallying a goal.

Freshman midfielder Brendan Homire scored a goal and added three assists on six shots.

BU returns to action on Saturday as the Hartford Hawks pay a visit to Nickerson Field. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. and can be seen live on the Patriot League Network.
