Men’s Lacrosse: Terriers’ Three Stars of the Game

3. Christian Carson-Banister

The junior goaltender from Dallas, Texas kept the Terriers in this game early. Carson-Banister made nine saves on 14 UMass-Lowell shots and gave the Terriers a chance to crawl back into the game. In the first half, Carson-Banister was the top player for the Terriers despite allowing four goals. UMass-Lowell had plenty of chances, most of which were thwarted by the BU goaltender.

2. Sam Talkow

The junior won 10 of the 15 face-offs he took, including a few big wins after Terrier goals to give BU consecutive possessions. His prowess at the X gave BU a chance to carry most of the possession in the second half. Talkow also collected a game-high eight ground balls. On the face-off directly after BU took the lead, 6-5, Talkow continued to pry at the ball in a sea of Riverhawk defenders, and eventually came up with the ball in what proved to be a big moment for BU.

1. James Burr

The freshman attacker has already made his presence felt at BU. Burr scored four times against UMass-Lowell, including the equalizer early in the fourth quarter. He provided an offensive spark, and was a threat every time he touched the ball. Burr took five shots on goal against the Riverhawks, and his impact was felt all-over the attacking zone.
