Terriers in the NHL: 1/4 – 1/10

The National Hockey League is littered from talent throughout the Hockey East conference, and Boston University has contributed a large part to that. Here’s a weekly look at how several Terrier alum have fared in the past week of NHL action, including Colin Wilson finally getting on the scoreboard.

Jack Eichel- Buffalo Sabres

Last Tuesday night, Eichel assisted on the lone Sabres goal in a 5-1 loss to the Florida Panthers. He assisted on the tally from Ryan O’Reilly, who scored in the second period. Eichel also assisted on a goal from Sam Reinhart in a 4-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday.

Colin Wilson- Nashville Predators

Wilson finally found the scoresheet on Tuesday when he scored the only Predators goal in a 4-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets. It was just Wilson’s fourth goal of the season. Wilson also assisted on a goal from Ryan Ellis in a 5-3 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Friday night.

Kevin Shattenkirk- St Louis Blues

After a strong showing all of last week for the Blues, Shattenkirk was quiet these past seven days, not producing a point in any games.

Charlie Coyle- Minnesota Wild

Coyle helped lead the Wild to a 2-1 victory over the Dallas Stars on Saturday night with an assist on the game winning goal from Thomas Vanek. Coyle has 22 points this season.

Nick Bonino- Pittsburgh Penguins

Bonino assisted on a goal from Bryan Rust in a 3-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday. Bonino now has ten points on the season.
