Terriers Look To Keep Unbeaten Streak Alive Against Brown

The Boston University Terriers (8-2-1) will travel to Brown University (5-4-1) in Providence, Rhode Island tonight where they have not won since 2007. The Terriers are riding a six-game unbeaten streak that stretches back to September 24th.

Both teams have yet to lose in their respective conferences. Brown sit in third place in the Ivy League while the Terriers are second in the Patriot League, only trailing Navy who have played one less game than the BU.

This game will be the last of a three-game home-stand for Brown. Last time out, they tied Princeton 1-1 in double overtime. The Bears faced some familiar opposition before that as they lost 1-0 to Boston College.

One Brown player to watch is freshman Jack Hagstrom, who was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the third time this season. Hagstrom is a defender, but has still managed to score five goals on the season. He’ll start at the back, but the Terriers will have to be wary of one of the brightest freshman defenders in the country attacking up the field as well.

BU and Coach Neil Roberts will be hoping to put forth a better performance than they did for much of their 2-1 victory at Nickerson Field against Loyola Maryland. After the game, Coach Roberts applauded his players for their comeback victory, but was disappointed that they’d gone behind in the first place.

A win tonight for the Terriers could see their national ranking improve, as they are currently ranked 29th in the College Soccer News top-30 national poll.

Kickoff from Stevenson Field in Providence is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
