Access & Departmental Security Administrators (DSA)

MyBU Student access for students and faculty is generally handled via self-service and automations as part of overall account provisioning. For staff and some faculty users, customized access has been defined and can be requested by a Departmental Security Administrator (DSA) based on the type of work performed.

Introduction

IS&T manages security access requests submitted by DSA’s. A set of resources have been made available through an IS&T Departmental Security Administrators Sharepoint. This includes procedural instructions for DSA’s and concept overviews that other staff can refer to for a general understanding of how MyBU Student security access works.

  • In addition to many helpful resources in that Sharepoint, a recording is also available of a May 2025 overview session describing key concepts and elements.
  • DSA’s can use the Request New Access Form to enter MyBU Student system role(s) access for the first time for a user.
