Pragya Raj Singh is a second-year graduate student at Boston University’s Pardee School of Global Studies, where she is pursuing a Master’s degree in International Affairs with a specialization in Global Economic Affairs. She obtained her Bachelor with Honors in Political Science and minor in Psychology from the Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. Before arriving at BU, Pragya worked as an intern with the National Human Rights Commission of India where she worked under the Law division on instances of human rights violations such as bonded labor.  She also worked with the District Administration under Haryana Government where she worked for female social workers by researching on their working conditions and presented policy recommendations to administrative officials. Most recently, she joined the BU – State Department initiative, Afghanistan Women’s Economic Resilience team as a Research Assistant. Her research interests broadly include human rights, women’s rights and representation in the global south, political economy of the global south, international trade and global financial institutions.
