Food on the Move aims to address food insecurity by providing low cost fruits and vegetables to neighborhoods that need it most. Alexandra’s project evaluates the effectiveness of this mobile produce market by exploring how shopping at FOTM affects nutrition-related health outcomes.

Alison worked with Food on the Move to evaluate barriers to fresh fruit and vegetable consumption in Rhode Island. To accomplish this, in-person and phone surveys were conducted with potential customers of the program as well as focus groups. The data from these was then analyzed.
Eliza assisted RIPHI with a large-scale evaluation of the Food on the Move market. Surveys were conducted at different market sites and was then analyzed. The final result was a report submitted to the RIPHI Evaluation Team.
Supported the creation, implementation, and evaluation of a surveys among program shoppers in order to determine characteristics of Food on the Move shoppers and evaluate the efficacy and impact of SNAP-based incentives on food insecurity among customers.
