Sharon Wong is a producer, strategist, and storyteller who has worked in public media, sports, comedy-horror, and national news. At WORLD Channel, Sharon was the senior digital producer for the multi-award-winning documentary series America ReFramed (Fannie Lou Hamer’s America, The Hand That Feeds), Doc World (The Accused: Damned or Devoted?, Los Comandos), and Local, USA (A Tale of Three Chinatowns, Silence in Sikeston), and the multi-platform storytelling series Stories from the Stage. With the use of best practices, a creative vision, and a small but mighty team, she was able to increase viewership on long- and short-form content and engage audiences across the US and around the globe. The Boston native once considered Boston University’s College of Communication for her undergraduate degree but went on to Syracuse University’s Newhouse School and then media outlets like CNN and NESN, and Boston Children’s Hospital, where she is a published author.
