Fellowship

By bringing together researchers, practitioners, and community leaders with diverse perspectives, our year-long fellowship program creates space for new collaborations and insights that wouldn’t emerge in isolation.

Fellows challenge one another, share knowledge across fields, and deepen their ability to communicate complexity in public life.

The Trust + Storytelling fellowship is a nine-month experience that brings together academics, artists, journalists, and organizers to explore the power of storytelling for social impact. Supported by BU’s Center for Humanities, BU’s College of Communication, and the Mellon Foundation, the program aims to support fellows in transforming humanistic research, organizational practices, and data into meaningful and effective stories.

Current Fellows

We’re excited to announce our 2026-2027 Trust + Storytelling fellows! From a diversity of disciplines and backgrounds, our 15 fellows will explore the themes of climate action, migration, and violence intervention. They are united by their commitment to understanding what makes stories trustworthy and to whom, and how good stories can best serve communities’ pursuit of positive social change.
