Creative Works

MISI’s creative production work supports artists and creative practitioners in developing storytelling methods that are authentic to the communities and messages they aim to serve.

We recognize that trust is not simply asserted through content, but built through form: through who tells a story, how it is told, and who has a hand in shaping it. Our support extends to novel and experimental forms of storytelling, as well as collaborative and participatory methods that involve audiences as co-creators rather than passive recipients. This work is oriented toward audiences most in need of the message, those for whom trust in institutions, media, or expertise cannot be assumed and must instead be earned through practice. In this way, creative production at MISI treats storytelling not only as a means of communication, but as a method of trust-building in its own right.
