Sarah J. Halford, PhD is a qualitative sociologist who studies how trust and distrust are formed in a variety of social contexts. Her current research explores the mobilization of institutional distrust in online communities that resist emerging technologies. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, such as Mobilization, The Sociological Quarterly, and Global Public Health. Prior to joining MISI, she was a postdoctoral fellow in sociology at Harvard University.
