Recent PhD Graduate published in Journal of Polymer Science
Dr. Evan Muller's recent publication "Synthesis of 1,6‐didecylnaphtho[1,2‐b:5,6‐b']difuran‐based copolymers by direct heteroarylation polymerization" was accepted this month in the Journal of Polymer Science. This study looks at an exciting direct heteroarylation polymerization method and the photovoltaic properties of a series of novel naphtho[1,2‐b:5,6‐b']difuran‐based copolymers. Check it out here, DOI: 10.1002/pol.20200069
Sebastian Perez-Espina presents work at 22nd annual undergraduate research symposium
This week, undergraduate student, Sebastian Perez-Espina, presented his work at the 22nd annual Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) symposium. His work in the Jeffries-EL group has involved investigating the synthesis of laddered benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']difuran polymers for photovoltaic application. We are proud of you, Sebastian! Glad to have you on our team.
Congratulations, Dr. Burney-Allen!
The Jeffries-EL group celebrated with Dr. Burney-Allen obtaining his doctoral degree. His thesis defense titled "Towards development of benzobisoxazole and napthodifuran based organic semiconductors for organic solar cells" gave a in-depth review of the synthetic and material science based research Alfred conducted during the program. We're all proud of you, More
Congratulations, Dr. Muller!
From Iowa State to Boston University, the Jeffries-EL group celebrated with Dr. Evan Muller over the successful defense of his Ph.D dissertation. Evan will be the second member of Malika's group to received their Ph.D from BU. Job well done, Evan!
Summer researchers prepare for upcoming semester
