Benzobisoxazoles in Photovoltaics: A hot new publication by Dr. Burney-Allen
BU Alumnus, Dr. Alfred Burney Allen (2019), has recently published his work on benzobisoxazole-based (BBO-based) small molecules for use in photovoltaic cells. This study takes a close look at the photophysical properties of a novel set of donor-acceptor BBO small molecules and the role they play in OPV devices. While device efficiencies were low, the design strategy used in this work opens up new methods of opto-electronic tailoring for new BBO molecules. You can view Dr. Burney-Allen’s work here.
