Expanding Access to Evidence Based Preventive Care for Managing Early Childhood Stress: Development of a Brief, Interactive Tool for Early Childhood Educators
This study involves a collaboration with the Boston Public Schools Department of Behavioral Health Services and the BU Wheelock College of Education and Human Development. It is in response to an expressed need for additional training for early childhood educators to support their young students’ mental health. Alongside collaborators, members of the Child CARD team developed a self-paced, online training course for early childhood educators on how to support young students experiencing anxiety, stress, and trauma. Early childhood educators are currently completing the training to assess its feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy.
