Registration

Read below for registration information and details, or skip right to the form if you’ve read it all before.

Monday registration desk! If you are arriving in Boston before Tuesday, there will be an opportunity to pick up your registration materials in the lobby of 10 Buick Street (the on-campus housing), on Monday, May 30th, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. However, it is possible we may be able to open up registration somewhat earlier than 4:00 pm if you would like to stop by and check.

Update: The banquet at the Hotel Commonwealth on Thursday, June 2nd has SOLD OUT! We are no longer able to offer additional banquet tickets for Hotel Commonwealth. Tickets are included for all registrants who have paid as of May 24, 2016. Additionally, we cannot guarantee a banquet ticket for any new registrations after this date. If you register after May 24, 2016, and we are not able to find a banquet ticket for you, we will refund you $130, the cost of a banquet ticket.

Registration dates and deadlines:

Registration for the conference will begin January 15 January 22, 2016
Early bird Registration Deadline: February 15, 2016 March 1, 2016
Author’s Registration Deadline*: March 1, 2016

On-line pre-registration will continue through May 25th. On-site registration costs may include an additional increase.

Speech Prosody offers registration discounts to students enrolled in degree programs, and to members of ISCA. For information on ISCA membership, please visit the ISCA site.

Registration fees include entrance to all poster and oral sessions, the conference welcome reception, the conference banquet, and a digital copy of the Conference Proceedings. (Please see note on the banquet, below)

Banquet

The conference banquet will take place the evening of Thursday, June 2 at a new venue in the Hotel Commonwealth, a short walk from the conference venue. If you wish to purchase additional banquet tickets, you may now purchase these through our registration page. The cost, $130 per additional ticket, is to be paid on site at the conference.  Update: The banquet at the Hotel Commonwealth on Thursday, June 2nd has SOLD OUT! We are no longer able to offer additional banquet tickets for Hotel Commonwealth. New! Registration for the Friday 6/3 satellite meeting, Framing Speech:
Registration for this Friday afternoon satellite meeting is included with registration for Speech Prosody 2016. If you are not attending the rest of Speech Prosody, you may now register to attend only the Friday satellite session for $70. (This includes entrance to the Friday morning regular conference sessions as well.)

Registration payment and forms:

Pre-registration payments must be by credit card, and transactions will be processed at Boston University’s Credit Card Center.

Credit card payments are processed through the Boston University Cashier’s Office, 881 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.

Refund policy:

Partial refunds of registration fees may be available for participants unable to attend the conference, depending on the timing of cancellation requests. If you wish to have your housing fees refunded, you must notify us before April 15, 2016, or refunds will likely not be possible. Please email speechprosody2016@gmail.com with all refund requests.

* We require that there be at least one unique registered participant per paper presented at the conference. (That person needn’t be first author, but just can’t also be the only registered author on some other paper. So for example, if you wanted to be first author on two papers, that would be fine, provided that for at least one of the papers, one of your co-authors was also registered for the conference, and that person was not also the only registered author on some other paper.)
