Yu-Qing Chua is a PhD student in the Department of Biology. She is interested in investigating how direct and indirect anthropogenic changes affect nutrient fluxes in temperate forests. She is also interested in exploring how symbioses between plants and nitrogen fixers are affected by urbanization. Yu-Qing received her Bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in Environmental Studies, and afterwards worked as a technician at Columbia University investigating the temperature sensitivity of symbiotic nitrogen fixation. In her free time, she likes to peruse modern and contemporary art, practice flower arrangement, and pick up more books than she can finish.
