Kathryn Atherton

Kathryn Atherton is a Ph.D. student in the Bioinformatics program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in biological engineering at Purdue University. Her research interests involve studying the impact of urban microbial community composition on human health. She hopes to pursue a career in science policy and communication to protect urban communities from the effects of pollution. In her free time, Kathryn enjoys doing crosswords, watching soccer, and cooking.
