Claudia Diezmartínez is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Earth & Environment. Her current research focuses on urban climate policy and climate justice. Specifically, she is interested in understanding how cities can design and implement policies that serve not only to mitigate or adapt to climate change, but also to improve social outcomes such as health, economic, and racial justice. With her work, Claudia hopes to contribute to ongoing efforts connecting urban climate policy and climate justice in both the academic and policy worlds. 

Claudia was born in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico. She holds a B.S. in Sustainable Development Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and an M.Phil. in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge.
