Form Creator

Form creation in ODK-X rely on using Excel workbooks and ODK‑X App Designer. To be more precise, ODK‑X surveys are defined in Excel workbooks that App Designer converts into JSON form definitions:

• We created a google Drive document with the process for the Excel form creation, the JSON form conversion, and the installation on the tablet . This document will be updated with additional details and information through time.

• We provide templates and examples that you can find in our github repository or here, in google drive folders.
• You will need to create folders (see the documentation) with some custom files (customPromptTypes.json, customScreenTypes.js customStyles.css) which we also provide in our github repository or here, in a google drive folder.
• CAUTION: ODK‑X and ODK Collect do not use the same Excel coding conventions. If you use ChatGPT or other assistants, make sure you ask specifically for ODK‑X syntax. ODK Collect output will not work in AnthroCollect.
