Editor’s Farewell

Dear Readers,

As the fifth year of the Pardee Atlas wraps up, I write with a warm heart that my term as Editor in Chief is coming to an end.

This year, the Atlas was inspired by “connectivity,” as our team sought to further integrate itself within and outside of Boston University. We formed closer ties with our school’s very own Pardee Graduate Council through writing workshops. We also welcomed students from outside our school and university to Bay State with open arms during our second annual conference. I leave feeling inspired by all these students, who lead the way in finding ways to work together through global challenges.

The Atlas remains committed to our mission to “Advance Human Progress” and promote student voices as they address political, social, and developmental challenges. Written publications continue to be the foundation of our platform; yet, we strive to make the Atlas a fundamental part of the Pardee graduate student experience through other initiatives, such as podcasts, conferences, and community events.

I want to thank the entire Atlas team, who played a crucial role in growing the Atlas and welcoming diverse voices. Thank you for being a part of this journey. I look forward to seeing how our paths will cross again.

I am hopeful for the Atlas’s bright future under Jack Whitten’s leadership. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with him this academic year, and I am excited to see his ideas come to life over the next year.

I am enthusiastic about the future ahead with the motivated team of Pardee graduate students. Together, we have committed ourselves to promoting student voices and tackling global challenges.

Signing Off,

Alexis Moran
