In a multilingual and ethnically diverse primary care waiting room, a majority of the patients do not have knowledge of or access to mindfulness recordings. This internship project aimed to increase Cambridge Health Alliance patients access to mindfulness recordings. The recordings serve the purpose of providing individuals with the tools to manage chronic disease.
The goal of this project was to assess how thoroughly City on a Hill Circuit Street (CoaH) addresses, through education and provision of resources, the areas with the largest risk for adolescents (e.g.unintended or intended injury, sexual behaviors, alcohol and drug use, tobacco use, physical inactivity, and dietary choices).
The health equity problem we addressed was inadequate access to healthy foods among food insecure families. We focused on the low-income population that utilizes the services of a food pantry. The goal of my internship project was to assess ways to support health and wellness at a food pantry in Plainville, Connecticut.
