Registration Information

Registration will be required for all accepted contributions to MRS 2023 prior to final upload. Early registration will end October 21, 2023. Registrations after that are counted as on-site registrations.

The payment portal for registration is now open. Please see the link at the bottom of this page. If you encounter any issues with registration (missing confirmation, confirmation of payment), do not hesitate to reach out to mrs2023@bu.edu.

Registration Fees

At least one author must register for their paper to be included in the oral presentations and conference proceedings. Please see the following table for a detailed break-out of registration fees. IEEE members and student members receive a discount in registration fees. Student registration status applies to anyone pursuing an undergraduate, masters, or doctoral degree.

Conference registration includes all social events, meals and coffee breaks, banquet ticket, and electronic proceedings. All prices shown are in USD.

Visa Invitation Letters

If you need a visa invitation letter to attend MRS 2023, please reach out to the conference organizers at mrs2023@bu.edu. At this time, we are only able to provide visa invitation letters for authors of submitted contributions. We will process visa invitation letters for general attendees when general registration opens in the fall.

Please note a visa invitation letter does not exempt attendees from complying with all requirements regarding registration and payment for their participation, accommodation and travel. The MRS Organizers take no responsibility should entry be denied by the US Government.

Any cancellations due to Visa refusal will be refunded according to the cancellation policy.

Cancellation and Name Change Policy

All refund requests must be made via email to mrs2023@bu.edu. Refunds for cancellations received after November 1, 2023 will only be made in exceptional circumstances. All papers must be associated with a registration for presentation at the conference.

The name on the registration can be changed without penalty. Please send all change requests to mrs2023@bu.edu by November 20, 2023 for proper display on name badges.

Disclaimer

All best efforts will be made to present the program as published on the conference website. The conference and its agents reserve the right to alter without prior notice any of the arrangements, timetables, plans, or other items relating to the meeting for any cause beyond its reasonable control. The organizing committee and the conference organizers do not accept responsibility for loss of monies caused by delays. Participants are advised to take out personal travel insurance and to extend their policy to cover personal possessions. The conference does not cover individuals against cancellations of bookings or theft or damage to belongings.
