New Pandora Papers Published!
Our group recently published two new papers on Pandora data collected in the Boston area:
(1) “Sampling sub-pixel scale variability in total column NO2 within a coastal urban environment: Observations from Pandora and implications for satellite remote sensing” published in Environmental Science: Atmospheres.
Taylor Adams shows how well Pandoras can capture neighborhood-scale variability in nitrogen dioxide, and shifts in emissions over time, that remain unresolved by current satellite observations even after oversampling.
(2) “Observing complexity in the evolution of formaldehyde in a coastal urban environment with Pandora spectrometer” published inĀ Environmental Science: Atmospheres.
Claire Naughton shows that elevated formaldehyde in Boston is often driven by the entrainment of long-range transport inputs during boundary layer development, a process that is not temporally resolved by traditional EPA HCHO sampling.
