Christine Prifti, MD

Assistant Professor

Dr. Prifti’s clinical and academic work centers on the health and well-being of women. Heart disease, strokes, autoimmune disorders, dementia, and lung cancer are just a few examples of conditions that impact women differently, and disproportionately. As a primary care physician for women, she attends to these differences at every visit. Dr. Prifti has written several textbook chapters on various women’s health topics, and enjoys teaching medical students and residents evidence-based primary care. She places IUDs and contraceptive implants as part of her practice, and has a particular interest in culturally-component, patient-centered contraceptive counseling.
