Kurt Castro

I’m originally from Redwood City, California, and I’m currently a junior at BU, majoring in Marine Science. I joined the lab in fall 2018 and in the spring, I will be starting my research project, which I will incorporate into an honors thesis my senior year. My research will focus on plasticity in larval development of clownfish. Specifically, I will be looking at how changes in the parental environment can have an effect on the development of dispersal-related traits in these larvae. After my undergraduate studies are complete, I hope to continue my studies and complete a masters or PhD program in Marine Biology or Ecology.
