After completing her undergraduate degree from Jacksonville University, Anjali spent the next few years working in animal husbandry. She worked as a bird trainer at Southwick’s Zoo where she was able to focus on the behavior of parrots, seriemas, and a variety of other avian species. Following her time at Southwick’s, she worked as an apprentice aquarist with the penguin colony at the New England Aquarium where she was able to combine her love of birds and marine science. She is continuing to work at the aquarium as an assistant aquarist with the penguin colony while studying plasticity of clownfish growth in response to variation in mutualistic interactions in the Buston Lab.
