Nikki Spencer, MSW, MPH

Community Project Manager

As Community Project Manager at the Women’s Health Unit, Nikki Spencer supports key stakeholders in research, including patients, communities, providers, and researchers. She manages efforts to meet the Unit’s research, education, and community outreach goals around the BU CTSI and Patient Advisory Group. Ms. Spencer also supports initiatives to empower community members to act as partners throughout the research process. Ms. Spencer received her Master’s in Public Health and Master’s in Social Work from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis with a focus on the social determinants of health and nonprofit management. While in St. Louis, she served at the Health Communication Research Lab as the project manager of Make It Your Own (www.miyoworks.org), a tool for creating customized communication materials to promote screenings and healthy behaviors. Ms. Spencer’s prior work includes project coordination at a partnership of two community health centers in Dorchester and development and communications at a domestic violence services agency in Boston.
