Alex Ascher

Alex was born in Connecticut, but grew up in Germany, England, New York, and Israel. At BU, he majored in Marine Science and minored in Biology. While in the lab he did conducted a very cool, independent project investigating the effect of species’ traits on biodiversity. After graduation, Alex worked for a year as a Northeast Fisheries Observer before going on to do a PhD with Richard Wahle at the University of Maine.
