Céline Pagniez
Céline Pagniez is a puppetry artist and actor. Pagniez founded the company El Caracol. Since then, she has created shows dedicated to the theaters and to the street. Pagniez collaborates with artists from various disciplines for her hybrid creations. In 2018, she created the show “La vie d’Alceste” / Human Sized Puppet and in 2020 “Decall” / Masked dance theater. She learned the technique of puppet construction with Natacha Belova and trained with Mots de tête Cie in the visual dramaturgy of Philippe Genty, and movement, material and puppetry. Her Dominican roots and Afro-Latin rhythms, songs and dances are constant sources of inspiration for her art. Currently, Pagniez is the director of “Habiter” (“Alive” in English), the new show from her company El Caracol with masks and puppets by Lorine Baron.
