Principal Investigator, Dysregulation, Impulsivity, & Stress Lab (DISTRESSlab) Principal Investigator, Behavioral Science Division, National Center for PTSD Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry, Boston University School of Medicine
My program of research focuses on understanding the manner in which individual differences in biology, personality, and cognition-emotion interact with stress exposure to confer risk for emotional dysregulation, impulsivity, and self-destructive behavior across the lifespan. An area of special emphasis is elucidating how trauma exposure and posttraumatic stress confer risk for these harmful behaviors. Please see my lab website for more information.
