Ziqi Tang is a Ph.D. student in Computing & Data Sciences at Boston University. She earned a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University prior to beginning her Ph.D. studies. Her research interests focus on climate and environmental modeling, machine learning, and data-driven scientific discovery. She is particularly interested in using explainable AI methods to better understand the behavior of AI-based models and the atmospheric processes they represent. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants and discovering good food.
