Zanyah Williams

Zanyah Williams is a PhD student in the Department of Environmental Health. She has earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Spelman College. As an undergraduate student, she demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental justice through interdisciplinary research, public service, and professional experience with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Her research examines how structural and systemic factors contribute to disproportionate environmental exposures in marginalized communities. Outside of academia, Zanyah enjoys traveling, exploring new hobbies, and volunteering in her local community.
