Tara received their Ph.D. in Ecology, studying the effects of climate change and other human impacts on plants and wildlife. Before graduate school, they worked in plant ecology research in Norway and Maine, wildlife management in Arizona, and wildlife advocacy in New York. They currently work as a policy researcher and campaign manager at the University of Virginia’s Repair Lab, where they support community advocates developing policy solutions for communities affected by coal dust pollution.
